In short

Problem

Students had to message the founders to book, change or track their classes, creating a growing operational load that wouldn't scale.

What I did

As the sole consultant and PM, I reframed the brief into a self-service problem, benchmarked three options hands-on and designed the student area.

Result

A defined product and an interactive prototype, built around one goal: less operational work for the founders and more autonomy for students. Launch is still ahead.

  • 3

    options benchmarked hands-on

  • 13

    screens prototyped

  • 22

    baseline metrics defined

to measure the impact on workload and autonomy.

What it is

A self-service area for the students of a Barcelona public-speaking school, so they can book, reschedule and track their classes on their own. An independent engagement in exchange for training.

Why

The founders managed every booking by WhatsApp. It worked with a handful of clients but wouldn't scale.

What I did

Reframed the brief from "a better client panel" into a self-service problem, with Self-service Rate as the north-star metric; ran a hands-on build-vs-buy benchmark of three options and found undocumented flaws in the vendors; designed a 13-screen mobile-first prototype with AI and service blueprints for each product.

What I learned

To treat the client's proposed solution as a hypothesis, not a conclusion. A self-service channel already existed in the booking emails and nobody used it; understanding why came before building anything new.
